Antietam Lake -- not safe yet

Hit Antietam for about an hour today......ice was about 2.5 inches....
 
Although, you need to know where to get on the ice and what ice is safe....
 
Two fellers decided to come onto the ice in a really bad spot....it was slushy--in any event, the one guy fell in........I started to make a bee line toward the guy and stopped dead in my tracks because I hit the crappy ice....the guys buddy got the auger handle to him and got him out.....he kept trying to stand  up......I yelled for him to LAY FLAT on your BELLY and crawl.......he did......
 
Know the ice........and be safe........
 
I caught a few yellow perch and one nice largemouth, about 14 inches
 
The showdown kicked butt.........can't wait to really understand it...but it marked the bottom and fish.......neat to fish 16 feet of water.......have fish come up off the bottom........and then all of a sudden you see a mark in 10 feet of water--probably a trout.......neat to say the least
