I ordered a GP 3wt albright fly rod a few weeks ago. I have not tried it out yet but it looks/feels great. Spent $59.99 and it also comes with a rod case. I will definitely consider buying future rods from them.

if they have to tell you that "there is no catch".... there's a catch

    this is sketchy
anyone who doesn't stand behind a product... knows the product is junk

    7. What is Albright's product warranty?

All products come with a one year "Manufacturer's Defect Warranty." This will cover any flaws found within the product.

    9. Do your closeout products come with a warranty?

No. When we determine it's time to discontinue a specific product, we then can no longer replace it.

Be cautious with Albright. It's all smoke and mirrors. They import all of their rods and reels from Asia. They advertise "sales" of 80% off msrp. Everything seems to be "on sale" all the time...so msrp is just a ploy. I have just had a horrible experience with the company. Very slow shipping, not willing to work with me to find solutions. The CEO made excuses, argued, and refused to answer any questions about the status of the product. Rod and reel were turned around enroute and returned to Albright before they even arrived. Still waiting for refund. Missed a weeks fishing in the Keys due to POOR customer service and all the CEO could say was get over it and call me names. If their customer service is this bad before the product is even in my hands, God only knows how it would be if I actually had a problem with the rod or reel! Buyer beware!

i didnt get mine from the actual manufacture. but from a classified. got a reel from there, like it so far. it was cheap price, so i basically forfeit customer service. i'm ok with that.

just odd that your first post on here is bashing a company. is there a company you would recommend or have a vested interest in?

I did not have any problems with this company. I received my product in a reasonable amount of time, and the CEO also called me once my order was processed to let me know he was including a free spool with the reel I purchased because it was a new promotional thing. I have yet to use the rod/reel that I purchased but for a newby fly-fisherman just starting out, you can't beat the price.

my wife ordered the rod on monday before x-mas and it arrived wedenesday , the free reel did come after x-mas but no big deal , the free promotional reel was aluminum , with a click adjustable disc drag , haven't logged enough hours on it yet to tell , but don't worry i will put it through the paces and give honest feedback , the rod will serve the purpose i need it for , busting brush on small streams , maybe falling down a time or 2 with it , i am gonna invest in a really nice rod hopefully before spring season starts (8' or 8'6" 5 wt , 4-5 piece )

I do that often enough. Just keep the rod high and pad the landing with a bony protrusion like a knee or elbow.

I'll back this 100%.  I got into fly fishing about 4 months ago, and ordered the GP 9' 5-6 wt. 2-piece, GP 5-6 reel, and set of Trinity waders.  It took forever for them to ship, and when I called to inquire about it the CEO was very condenscending and promised I would recieve a shipping notification right away viaemail.  I recieved it three days later, the day before the shipment arrived.  I shook this off and found that I was satisfied with the equipment that I had purchased, although the reel has developed some wobble after only moderate use.

In early May I placed an order for a GP 9'6" 7-8 wt. 2-piece, and a week later I recieved the rod.  The next weekend I finally got out on the water with it to chase stripers.  I hooked up within a few minutes and landed a nice 9 lb. female, no problems.  Until an hour later, when  I made a roll cast and the rod snapped in half just above the third snake guide above the ferrule.  This was the first time I had used the rod!  Well, I figured no big deal.  Albright has a "10 day, no hassle return policy", and being that this is the 7th day that the rod had been in my possession(let alone the first time I had used it) surely it would be covered under this policy and they would send me a new tip section.  I was saddly mistaken.  After a few emails and phone calls, during all of which I was given the run around and plenty of excuses, I was told by the CEO that I would have to send in a digital pic of the broken rod in order for them to sell me a new one at a discounted price of $44.99.  This was the best that they could do.  Discounted price????  If I had wanted to pay that much I would have just ordered another one off of the website!  Not only that, but he informed me that I needed to order a different 8-9 wt. to handle the stripers, that the 7-8 wt. wouldn't handle them.  I know for a fact that my fishing partner has been catching stripers for 4 years on a 7 wt. TFO with no problems, so this tells me that Albright products are of lesser quality and construction.  I will not be purchasing any more products from them, and will be telling everyone I know not to buy from Albright unless they want inferior equipment and non-existant customer service.  I have no respect for a company that won't back their products, and treats their customers like disposable napkins!  DO NOT BUY FROM ALBRIGHT!
