Still not alloud to fish or hunt, just collecting items, just a suggestion, take a sharp knive and cut off the leash, or take that hidden fence collar off and get out their.

thats a good fish, they are all good, some are gooder than others

I like the emerger idea.  I need to tie something other than steelhead/salmon flies lol......

Doesn't much matter to me though.  I can tie up something else instead of what I was leaning towards.

Here's what I've been playing around with for the swap. Not sure if this is what I'll be sending or not though. Although these are a bit standard-I want to try something a bit different for it. Been searchin around and tryin to combine a few standard patterns. Tryin to let my imagination run wild Thanks FF46 for takin the time to put this together.

i guess if i'm gonna learn to tie emergers, and receive some emerger patterns, i ought to ask how does one fish an emerger?  like a dry?  can they "swim" to the surface?

    tnx

Yup, like a dry. Dead-drift them. They will ride *in* rather than *on* the surface, though. As far as swimming to the surface, the bugs the emergers represent have already done that.

I dont fish them often, but a few days last year I did well with little brown emergers...maybe baetis...

steely34, i like that loop wing

DC, tell jokerball to tie those on a curved shaft or bend the shaft down a little right behind the thorax, this will put the abdomen under the suface. i tie those from #14-#10  2x and they are a killer
