Steelhead Rod

Broke my cheapo steelhead rod today, so i'm looking to purchase a new spinning rod for steelhead. I'm thinking somewhere in the 9' to 10' range. Anyone have any suggestions? Around $100 or less would be ideal.

Riversider noodles. Cheap and a decent built rod, the feel of them and the handle is what I like. You can get them in 9' or 10', $40 at Poor richards or Gander mountain is a deal IMO.

I haven't used my okuma 9.6 im 8 in a long time.. it is the only steelhead rod i own aside from 3-4-5 weight flyrods.. i like the sensitivity and im8 is also lighter but more prone to breaking ..got it a few seasons ago at fat nancies for 90.00+tax not sure how well this rod performs next to other noodle rods.. i gather it is a typical steelhead/brown sr spin rod.. i use a stradic 2000 and sufix mono 8lb for main

Piced up a cortland last year that comes with a lifetime warranty for something like $69.  Put a Diawa Turnamnet SS II and it has been great.  Just wish I would have bought it in a longer length.

I would think any steelie rod with a lifetime warranty is worth 100 dollars or less especially 70 bucks! im8 supposedly is more sensitive and lighter than the im7 ..but the im7 is less likely to break knowing the im8 is a thinner tube modulous. I would think a 9 ft rod is the shortest lenght i'd like to use for drifting eggs on the sr. I know there are much better rods than this okuma 9.6ft for the buck but, as it was, that time I needed a new steelie rod so it was a put in hand sale at fat nancys and to the sr.. i think st croix makes great steelie rods but i think berkley and shimano make excellence too at a much affordable price.
