This thread might be better served by moving it, and others like it, to the "Off-topic" area of the new Discussion Boards.  I wish Terry well.

    Doc,
Even when we're on topic, we get off topic. This thread is as on topic or more so than others i've seen posted here.
Actually, and if you think the way I do (and you should,BTW) this thread could be considered on topic. We all know Crip and Indsguiz from their posts on the general fishing board and they are in a situation where they can't go fishing. Hmmm. In general terms, would that be related to the general fishing board?? I think so.

In your opinion, you state that this thread may be better served by moving it. Better served to whom?? But now I'm getting off topic. Or am I?

Skip - I will type this real slow for you - there is a difference between threads about fishing, and threads about people who fish.  These are mutually exclusive items.  Think about it.

    Doc,
I didn't know you were a hardliner type.
They can't move this thread to the off topic board because that board states that it's for topics unrelated to fishing.
The threads in question have a fishing relationship.
I guess we need to start a new category for the generally fishing related stuff that may not be specifically about fishing.
BTW, these last two generally related post are as related as  many others that have appeared on this new board category.
More than "first to 100" and the like.

What about your little thread where you and the other guys were back and forth about the PSA tournament?  Same principle DOC.  It wasn't about fishing, just the guys playing the game in it.  Am I wrong?
I really hope I get to meet you some day....

    Doc,

I have to agree. While they may not apply to fishing, the two threads to which you refer are NOT inappropriate to this board.

I visited Terry yesterday, and he thinks he may be able to go home in about a week.  He still has some work ahead of him, but his spirits are up, and the conversation was all about fishing, and all of the trips he would like to make this year.  He is anxious to get out, and I hope to get the chance to fish with him very soon........

I don't see what the big deal is anyway.  Who cares where this post is....its for a guy who is obviously loved and cared for by all.

I never met the guy, but I wish him well and hope he recovers, so that someday I may have the pleasure.

You could only be so lucky.   Take the time to give the man a call, or just drop him a card.  If you truly are a kind soul, he may just open up to you, and your life will never be the same.  His story is one that should be put down on paper.  Tuesday's With Morrie ain't got nothin' on Anyday With Terry.
