    Joe,

I fished there today. We caught some crappies, plently of nice gills. Not a bad day. The park hours change tomorrow 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

    Good luck

I was wondering where you caught the crappie at and if there were any size? I fished the coves to the right of the launch and caught a few, biggest 13 inches... and just wondering where some other spots are.

    SPI,

LOL!!!!! You know better. How have you been? Its great to hear from you. I hope you are doing well. If your are ever done in these parts drop me a line. This coming weekend weekend I'll be in Meadville visiting the in-laws, Fishin' Coyote and I plan do some panfishing, maybe Preque Isle, Connie Lake or Wilhem. Interested?

    Justin,

We fished from a boat on saturday although I usually fish from the bank. On saturday the crappie were tight to the blow downs and other visible cover. There is also quite a bit off submerged structure; fish cribs and christmas trees. I caught quite a few crappie last thursday from shore in the bay near the launch off the submerged structures.

    Take care

i heard from several different people that you have to have a special launching permit to put your boat on the water in cross creek.  Does anybody know if thats true and if it is do you know how much it costs?

Cross Creek produced my first skunking in quite a long time today.  Weather was beautiful but the fish were not cooperating at all.  There were lots of people out, but I really didn't see anyone getting anything.  I think the osprey flying around was the only one doing any good...

Why not hang out at the handicap dock and ask the guys that have 7-8 inch crappies on there stringers? They seem to know where there at.............saw it today......... some folks need to check the regulations of the lakes they fish in.

I thought about it, but the right way to stop that crap is ......... the Fish Commission does there job and issues one fine. Everyone on the dock will hear about it and the poaching stops - period. I enjoy going out boating/fishing to much to possibly have the day be ruined by some idiots.

I fished cross creek today and didn't do very well! One nice crappie and acouple bluegill. Where are the hot spots from shore(didn't have a boat this time) The black crappie should still be shallow and there isn't alot of shore access.

Anybody been up recently......Heard that this lake was usually pretty clear as far as visibility.....Back in April...lots of storm runoff and construction runoff kept it pretty murky....Havent been back since....What up guys?
