Wiggle Nymph

I've been experimenting tying various wiggle nymphs using different types pf materials but haven't found anything that I am particularly happy with.  Does anyone have any good recipes for tying wiggle nymphs?

most of my nymphs are wiggle nymphs.. but you need to elaborate more on what you mean by recipes.. i tie  hairs ear/stone fly/prince/and pheasant tails in a wiggle body...i find most of my flies on flytyingforum.com... i use fireline instead of mono or other line.. it gives the fly more wiggle in the water IMO

This one has been good burrowing mayfly/minnow pattern for me through the years (nymph-o-minnow-ac)

This has been a good stonefly (Sly and the Family Stones)

PM me if you like them and Ill give you the tying instructions

Virtual Nymph Wing Plates. I actually use the stoneclinger wing plates instead of the stonefly wing plates; the stone wing plates dont come small enough.

I give you guys alot of credit for tying those flies. I don't have the patience anymore to tie a fly that takes that much time. Instead, I have started using a duncan loop knot to attach my dropper fly during the past 2 seasons. It has made a difference in the number of takes and my confidence. The knot is also a stronger knot for me to tie with cold hands.

    best,
    Rickerd

I must qualify, I won't spend more than 10 mins on a fly for steelhead. Its just the way I tie lately. I know my flies end up being broken off for too many reasons and I have been concentrating on fishing techniques the last couple seasons over having "the majic fly." I guess I've become less patient as I age.

Neither of those patterns take much more time to tie than a dry fly would. Maybe just a bit longer.

i'm surprised fishenfool46 hasn't weighed in on this. he tied me some white wiggle nymphs that work realy well in slow waters.
