My bad, just never saw a musky with spots like that before. The musky i've caught in the bay were olive with light bands and white bellies and brown - olive fins. They were all small though, 28 - 30".

SHUT, why are the fish colored like that? Is it to match the Lush Coral Reefs in the lake? But seriously, does it help them blend in or something? They look real **** like in the Polka-dot dresses. The feesh from Tamarack would make fun of them. That is, until the Great Lakes eat them.

Muskie strains: Eastern half U.S Great lakes - St. Clair, spotted Buffalo/Niagara river, broken barred St. Lawrence, broken barred Inland - Ohio river or Chautauqua strain, barred Found throughout OH, PA, and western NY Usually greenish/yellow with a bronze back. Older, larger fish often turn brown/ copper colored. The next "on the scales" certified world record fish will in all likelyhood be a great lakes fish and probably come out of Georgian bay, Ont. or the St. Lawrence river. The Buffalo/Niagara river area is a possibility and has fish of extreme girth, with several fish in the mid to high 50 lb class already taken and released.

I doubt there are any fish living in Tamarack that would attemp calling this fish "****" Its the Great Lakes "spotted" strain....they are pale looking, I believe, because they are open water fish....however, as soon as you threw them into a weedy envorinment, their colors would change to adapt to their environment, much like steelhead and browns.

Never saw where KJ tried to belittle any one. Gotta say I feel a little pang of remorse when ever I see a fish that size dead.. I feel it is more out of respect for an aged fish. Not that there is a **** thing wrong with killing it within the law.. It would be nice if there was a way to certify our largest fish for the record book with out killing them. Kinda funny taking your largest breeding specimen for that for that species and killing it just to prove it was the largest. With all that said I would kill that fish in a heartbeat and have it mounted..
