How soon till Raystowns Water do inversion

Can someone from Raystown Lake area PM me when the water turns. I have a house in Hesston near Seven points and would like to hit it right to catch a few Strippers on top water lures when they start filling up for winter.
Any help will be appreciated and I will even take you for a bite or a few drinks when I come up to fish.

Keep checking lake reports. You shouldn't be as concerned over when it turns as to the surface temp. 55 degrees is the magic number...hit that temp in the fall and you will have fish blowing up everywhere. Good luck.

cool... what do you use when trolling? You fish deep or shallow since their busting? I've never trolled before.. always wanted to try it though.

This past weekend Lake Arthur was around 54, surface temp.  Not sure if that is a good gauge or not.  Just thought of this thread when I was looking at my temp gauge.  It didn't really produce any crazy surface activity there, although it was too windy to really tell.  I did manage two really small hybrid stripers though...

I took the camera, but not much action.  I do have one photo, but need to find my USB cable for the old camera.

I thought it was going to be much better, especially after the first 5 minutes.  I baited up a high low rig on one rod (clam /bunker) and lobbed it out.  Second rod, I was getting set up with a plug to cast around.  Right when I was about to head down to toss the plug around, I noticed my bait rod dancing.  23" striper, on the bottom hook.  I forgot which bait was on which hook, and shook the other bait off.  Fished for about 5 more hours, since a buddy met up with me about 2 hours later.  Between the two of us, maybe 6 really small skates.  There was a guy about 50 yards down, that caught a 14lb striper about 1/2 hour after mine (bunker head).  Also another guy that walked out on the jetty, and walked back with a 20+ lber (live eel).  This is definitely the time to make a trip if you are thinking to go.  The hotels in the area are pretty cheap this time of the year too, as compared to the Summer.

You win!  +1 for staying on subject of the post!

Any stripers being pulled from the lake?  With the storm rolling up the coast, some of those NJ stripers may end up washed into Raystown...

Anyone know of a place to get live bait this time of year around Raystown?

I am going Friday am and would like to find some live trout to troll with.

Are most of the shops closed for the season?
