another broken rod...

I now have 5 rods to return...5/0 salt hook and 5 shot ended this one

but i used a short end to take a fish on a dry in what some say is the most technical water in the state

    Sucks about the rod man, if it is a Sage do they still want $50 to replace/repair?

    cheap reddington i found on CL when i was on a trip
    its a 5... i never fish 5s
    F'er popped like a firecracker

    3rd cast on the creek
    lost 2 wild steelhead ealier, a brown, and a creek chub on other waters

    i was hog hunting


    norm...
    this break was due to messing with casts and improper loading
    2hander splintered at the male end of the bottom section... and that was the replacement from the break in Feb

    wow, 5 splitshot on that big fly type deal?? That in itself on a old bamboo rod L@@KS to be reason for your rod snapping... But what do I know...... I only cast trout flys with my bamboo rods ans several I wouldn*t even consider fishing because they are very old and could possibly snap if fished..

    maybe you should of used lighter tippet so the tippet would of broken instead of the rod

    Well, that ditch is really deep, at least 18", and with all those weeds, you shoul dconsider a half ounce egg sinker pegged with a tooth pick.  That's how I roll.  And a bobber.
