I bet it is already on its way to be mounted.  The trick is finding a wall big enough to put it on...  Just think one day someone in Erie might catch a big brown like that.  Something to look forward to.

Wild, that fish may very well may be a hen. Unusually large females will develop the kype that the males are known for, only a bit smaller.

Always cool to think that while for a variety of reasons some fisheries are declining and aren't what they used to be, others continue to improve to the point that they can produce a world record like that.  Impressive.

    ...jaw drops

The moment of truth. Where all other things unconsciously melt away from our minds the instant a fish takes our fly. We stand there on the water with wide eyes, caught in a battle stance with an idea of confidence and hope

Well, sheeetz, I actually read the article (and interpreted it), and it was caught right were I was.. bear creek access.   ****.   Shoulda fished a while.   Woulda been cool to see.   Don't think I'd been landing that on a 5/6 spey rod.  Notta.

I go fishing there every year with Mark Chmura of Pier Pressure fishing where the picture was taken.  He is one hell of a guide and I have never not limited out with him in the 12 years I have been fishing with him.
