First Steel of 09

There were only two of us in the boat so I didn't take the time for a pic because of all the boat traffic, but my son caught a really nice steelie on Saturday. Had the dipseys back 175' and when it hit it ripped about 40' of line off, came almost immediately to the surface and went airborn. Was a long fight and the boy has a nice bruise on his belly from the ordeal. Fish was quickly returned to the water. Didn't weigh it but it was 29", should have seen the smile on his face!

    Sweet!  Would have loved to get intothat many steel!...We did have one on out in Conny that jumped out of the water and spit a worm harness.

    its just fun to see kids catch fish, and when they get a biggun' on its even better.bruises on the boy, ill bet he shows everyone,probly prouder of the briuse than the fish.maybe not

    Project water is LOADED and somebody just cleaned all the blue powerbait off the walmart shelves in Pittsburgh. Now look what you started! Maybe I'll get there the same time as Hurricane Bill....

    Thats always fun having that line singing and then the jump.lol
    Had one on the big O that passed the boat and jumped.
    Saw a spoon hanging out his mouth and a reel just screeming!
    Running 4 canons and 8 rods I had no idea which one it was.
    By the time we figured it out , gone.lol
