Anyone have any suggestions

Couple buddies and I are gonna check out the Grand Canyon of Pa in a month. I cant leave my fishing stuff at home, as it would haunt me. Not familar with this neck of the woods and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a stream/river fairly close that might fish good in the fall.

 Thanks and always appreciated!

How about just fish the stream that makes the canyon...Pine Creek? Also Slate Run and Cedar Run, they are not too far from the canyon.

Since you are already there, Pine Creek would be your best option. Smallmouth are practically a guarantee. I'm not sure of the trout situation up there right now. The water levels are up and down, along with the temps, and I haven't fished Pine since late May for trout.

I'm not picky when it comes to fishing, Thanks for the input

Norm, I was considering that but we shall have to see how far we are goin and if theres actually room in the pack. Was figuring to wet wade so that should save a few pounds.

I was just wondering if there was anything in the vicinity that might be worthwhile to take a day/coupl of hours to check out. I spent 25 years in the Poconos fishing and really havent fished alot of the state besides Pine Creek a few times and the Letort/Spring once :)

     Thanks gents, Muchly appreciated

Worked out of Wellsboro a few years back - besides Grand Canyon there are several manmade lakes in the area so don't forget your boat, plus there's the Tioga Hunting Preserve if you want to take your guns! Nice area!
