Aug 12 and 13 2009 Salmon River ... Oswego

Aug 12 and 13 2009 Salmon River ... Oswego

Headed up to Pulaski,and Oswego. We were hoping for some small mouth fishing, but will take anything we can get. Any suggestions for whats best for boatless fishermn in NY this week ? I know we are early for salmon and such. Thanks in advance. PA to NY

    fish down low early- B-park or the case you may get a stray salmon or 2-
    later fish up top- ufz or bigger holes up top maybe a skam or bt-
    the better smallies are back in the lake now- water temp is 70ish

    Thanks for the reply. I was up at Oswego in the mid 90's for a salmon charter. There were spouts on the lake that day and we couldn't go out. I remember the small mouth fishing was incredible at the mouth of Oswego and in the black hole at the salmon river. Must have been a freak thing. Since then I have been told the best time is from May to the end of July. We are headed up anyway, and i appreciate the advice.  Thanks again.

    There were Kings caught 8/11 in the DSR & at the Black Hole, one of my customers caught the fish @ the Black & said he saw 10 to 20 fish go by www.foxhollowsalmonriverlodge.com
