30th/31st

Finally got the new boat on erie, and ran some dipseys, Thanks for all the previous input on dipseys and trolling. Had a good time, 1 nice eye thur and a bunch of white bass and sh heads thur. 7 eyes and other junk Fri. Still ALOT to learn, lost 4 lures, 2 of which I never had a clue till I brought the rods in. No bites on dipseys with no lures. Got 2 of the nicer eyes throwin erie dearies. Other than getting irratated by some deliberately ignorant guy on a boat called Sea Wolf, had a great trip. All eyes were out from Trout Run and west , 38-42'. thanks again !

Good to hear Gizmo....Got some blood on the new boat...Sea wolf is a charter boat...He is ignorant to everyone else on the lake, been there done that...Just ignore him..I have been telling everyone that I have still been catching eyes in shallow and no one seems to believe that they are still there this time of year.

Good job Giz!  It takes a few times, but you'll get the hang of it.  I still earn every time out.

I almost feel bad now for given his passengers the evil eye. Not a good feelin when a driver is stupid and never makes eye contact and the passenger has no control and probally wanted to hide their faces. Oh well, takes all kinds. We did lose a few also, the best dipsey bite came on straight perch rapalas.

Giz, The first picture tells the story of why you lost lures. You are dragging the bottom and the line doesn't hold up very well wit zebra mussels and rocks. Are you using a heavy flourocarbon leader? 20 or 30 lb. test? Cool you had a good couple days out there it should get much better from now until the middle of september.

20lb floro. I started running out less line and did better. I need to remember that the harness
