I love the early runs, and even if the trip doesn't yield a concentration of fish you always have the lake shore and some scouting that can be done, gotta make the best of it.

Earliest runs were probbaly the 1st time my mom feed me stained prunes !!!!!

I checked my crystal ball and it said no fish this year. So I guess their just won't be any runs of any #'s this year. Oh wait that was the outlook for getting laid...lol lots of cold water will bring em in from the mountain and the trenches. Next March for sure.

The earliest I have ever caught more then one steelie was last year off of the south pier on I believe Aug 16th..I was using a pretty big kastmaster and 10 pound flurocarbon..casting into the 30+ foot water

about 7 yrs ago i caught 2 fishing for nething off the wall at the nut it was the beginng of august

OMG. Ever been there for the Spring run??? Marchish? Thats the earliest we have ever gotten into em, after a run. I'm not talkin holdovers either.
