moisture in camera

I've got moisture in my digital camera and I can't find the old post I remember reading

    i just lost a camera due to moisture...
     
    it happend over the 4th... but olympus replaced with a brand new updated model, that i picked up yesterday

    The usually recommendations are to place it in a container with something that will attract the moisture. This could be rice or could be those little packets you get with shoes (silica gel)...

    Another option a lot of people have had success with is leave your camera (or cell phone) on your car's dash for a day or two while you're at work. The heat in the car will help evaporate the moisture... people rescue wet phones like that all the time.

    I dropped a very nice Panasonic Lumix SLR in Lebouf a few years back... For that I took extreme measures and submerged the camera into isopropyl alcohol to try and displace the water. While it work to some degree, all the buttons on the back panel still do not work..camera fires up, lens is clear, everything but alas without the buttons I can't do jack.

    I have had some luck with wet cell phones by using the rice trick, put them in a bag of uncooked rice for a few days.

    i recently left my phone out on the picnic table, of course it rained.and the rice in a bag worked exelent for me too

    I don't know if I will be fishing with you, I've met a younger, prettier guy.  He's on this forum but I'm not mentioning names. His flyrod is always in the 12:00 o'clock position
