Not sure where your located at..
I recently took my son to the Spillway at Pymatuning and got him into some carp.
We went to Bull Dam Sunday and caught sunnies and perch on worms..
we have gone to the PFBC facility at Canadohta lake and caught sunnies and perch...
    These are all kid friendly..

Kahle Lake is another option , depending on where you are. I took my boy there saturday. We fished from the dam, caught a few sunnies on crawlers.

Hey Bing, I,ve spent all of my 42 years  in Venango county, and I have never heard of Bull Dam. Where the heck is that?

It's also called Eaton Resevoir, aka  Bull Dam...
It's just south of North East , PA..

It's electric motor only. A good lake for kids to get their first whack at a pike. It's full of hammerhandles.

Woodcock on the causeway and under the bridge there is always good.
Conneaut with a small boat on the hump or the two coves always produce.
Edinboro behind the mall/ movie theater a mixxed bag.

Have fun. Best if just a friends pond though.

If you try Woodcock give the spillway a go too. Easy pickens for a good mixed bag of fish. Smallies, gills, perch, catfish, walleye...lotsa fish in a small area. Crawlers or leeches.
