grouse hunting

I have a black lab puppy i would like to train to hunt grouse... I have never trained a dog to hunt birds and i would like to start can anybody help me on how to start training her tips would be great... thanks

I'll start by saying that I'm no professional and I have only had one dog and he's a lab mutt.  I noticed with him though that he learned just by being around other dogs.  I trained him to a point until I found out he had hip and elbow displasia, and I gave up because he would never be what I wanted him to be.  But just by training around a friends dog he picked up things.  I have actually found myself in the field looking at him saying "where in the hell did you learn that".  I don't know if it was the other dogs or I just got one smart pup, but I plan on doing some of the same things with the next dog.
