Huge Carp on my Flypole.

I caught a Carp in the Yough that had to be over twenty pounds on my flyrod today.  It was hard taking the picture by myself.  I put my foot up on a rock and laid the fish over my thigh.  The pictures I took are pretty bad but you can see that the carp was thicker than my leg and when I picked him up to my waist his tail still touched the ground. I had him close to me in about 20 minutes and when he saw me the first time he stripped my line down deep into my backing.  It took me over an hour to land this fish.  I had to finally walk to shore and beach him.  It was a good test for my 7WT rod.  It hit a crawler.

Smithton steelhead...  Probably better fight than most steelies, with 1/100th the crowd and 1/4 the gas money.  Get about the same reaction from others, if you put it on a stringer too.  Maybe for other reasons...
