if it were me, i would NEVER buy neoprene for any situation.  you're honestly just as warm in breathables if you simply layer underneath, and you can walk in the winter without sweating your balls off.  Plus they're much lighter and you can wear them into the spring and warmer climates.

I wear breathables pretty much all year, except late winter, then I bust out the bootfoot neoprenes.
Not for the neoprene but for the boot foot. Keeps my feet warm.

i use breathables  all year round just layer right and have to move a lil more when its very cold out.  i ware underaromor cold gear and heavy fleace pants and it works pretty good. i get dam cold sometimes but it better than sweating in neos walkn in to you fishing spot.  and for the feet i ware polypoplen then fleace tnen wool.   i think it helps keepn ur feet dry from sweat and blood moving..

I wear breathables. Under armor cold gear then the heavy duty Cabelas thermal underwear with fleece over that. I don't wear bootfoots so sometimes the feet get a lil cold but the ability to move makes the breathables  worth it for me.

Last summer i found a pair of really heavy sweat pants made from polyester at the local thrift store. I wore them every winter trip last year under breathable waders and was not overly cold any trip. I do have a pair of thin polyester long johns if i want add another layer but i only used them once.

I have never worn the underarmour pants but i doubt if there is a hole lot of difference in the materials between it and the fleece polyester other than a lot of hype.

I definitely always use breathable waders.  I like to layer under armor cold gear with carhartt's version of the same thing.  I have a great pair of carhartt socks that I use as well when it is frigid.  I think the MOST important thing about keeping your feet warm is not to layer to the point of over tightness when it comes to socks.

I just got breathables this year, they are the way to go. Neoprene-with boots are the warmest-but the light weight of breathables trumps that, you won't even notice them when walking to your spot.

breathables for sure. wear 'em year round, including in the duck blind right thru the end of lake erie duck season. no problem setting or picking up deeks when layered right under them. anyone looking for like new pair of cabelas camo brush buster waders? will let them go cheap.

Generally, I use the breathables as well, until it comes to late winter waterfowling.  Then it is 7mm Frog Toggs Boot Foot Neoprenes.  I would defy anyone to sit in our swamps in late January with us from sunrise to sunset in a a pair of breathables.  To answer your question, the Frog Toggs are a quality product.

Try the LaCrosse bootfoot neos with the fleece lining.  I've actually carried them til I absolutely HAD to put them on.  If you keep from gettin sweaty in them, they WILL keep you warm.
