Arthur

Put in at the sailboat launch this morning at 7:00 and wow. Looked Like I 79 on the water in front of us. There must have been a big tournament becuause there were a lot of boats.  Looked liktthey all started at McDaneils launch.
Every place we fished there seemed to be lots of boats.  Fish turned on about 10:15 to 11;30 and was lots of action.

Picked up a nice largemouth and we decided we needed to move to the other side of the seaweed area and just put out the anchor and a boat went zooming right through where we were going to fish. We both looked at each other in shock and hung it up.  End of day.

Luke, I have seen this stuff many times. When some of the Bass boys are on the water they act as if they own the lake. Not all of course but, some have no respect for anyone. You would think that the officers of the club would get rid of the bad apples. If we can see what goes on so can the other members. They give people a bad opinion of the whole club.

My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!

I too was in awe of the amount of trailers, when I pulled into McDaniel's launch.  Luckily I slept in a little bit, or would have had to wait in line to get moving.  I had one joker pull right up on a sunken tree that I was fishing, and was casting right over me.  I wasn't doing any good, so it didn't bother me too much.  I know the guy was a fish twice a year clown though.  There was a dead wiper on the shore, clearly distinquishable fish, and the guy was going on about it being a huge largemouth.  Luckily the normal day of fishing doesn't pay out cash, or we'd have to deal with these clowns more often.

I launched from the Old 422 launch on Saturday, the parking lot was packed by the time I got there at 7:30 AM. That arm of the lake and every cove seemed to be filled with boats. I didn't experience any bad behavior, but it felt like the opening day of trout season.

    Split Shot,

Some of the bad apples are the officers. I fish tournaments and give everyone their due space. Not all of us are like that.

    Crappyfisher,
I think I'll find something else to do and let them have the lake on the next tornament date.
I'm not that greedy to fish-just enjoy the friends and relaxing time.
Youngguru- all I can say is that is why we pay for schooling so they can get a good job -too bad.

It's getting busy here, with the fiscal year end approaching.  We could use the extra staff.  We offer free room and board.  Going wage right now, is about 18 cents per hour to start (35 cents after a few years on the job), about 10 cents after your restitution is paid out.  If interested, do something dumb, and cross the state line doing it.

Not inside, nor do I enjoy any time that I spend inside for work.  I work for the federal prison's inmate work program.  I find clients for the inmates to make items for (federal agencies).
