Awesome Able

I'll tell you , I have been fishing the Ausable river for almost 40 years and I can not remember it being in this great shape in July. Truly a fishers paradise. All the ADK streams & brooks are flowing , really flowing with water temps in the low to mid 60's. As of now Sat was my last guided trip on a fantastic trout season of 09. Once again it was brown trout rule, we did catch one camera shy bow but a ripping streamer had them browns chasing.

Look at this , I should be able to walk across to the point.

At a 5am start 8 fish were pulled from this hold.

yup it's a brown but a good one indeed, screamed some drag.

One I got to play with today :)

so thats a rap, I know it's not over by a long shot but once the temps on the ponds drop in sept. I'll be splitting time between brookies & kings... Tough gig I know...

A lure drawing the first strike of an early morning, the strong tug on the end of your line, the excitement of a leaping fish... that,s livin large!
