NO mojo this morning
SO i figured what the hell, take the day off and make it an extra long weekend and get some extra fishing in.
After seeing the forecast i figured i was going to get wet no matter what, was only going for a couple hours, so pack real lite (one regular & my monster swim bait set up) ... pretty simple plan.
Sleep in, leave the house around 8:30 (feeling good , it's the start of a 4 day weekend and i'm heading to the lake)
I get to lake only one other person out, it's pretty calm and not raining at all. I'm like sweet !
I get 10 mins into my trip and my reel on the regular set up stops working, i tinker with it and realize it's NFG
SO now all i have with me is my super heavy set up (i always see the good in things) so i'm like ok it's going to
be a swimbait day. After tossing that around for a while with out a sniff i know i have to go back to my frogs (that's what always works there) ! I settle for throwing the frog on the extra heavy gear, turns into a big pain in the butt, can't cast far, not feeling comfortable at all with it.
Little while later i sit on my sunglasses !!! DOH !!
Guess what ... it NEVER did rain either !!! LOL
I never did give up though ...I managed to boat only 2 bass (one decent one) but horriable self pic , so no porn today
I could have gone to work i guess ...... NAHHHHHH !
Hopefully things will be back to normal tomorrow morning on the water
