thanks guys, jk.. 33' was just my first try with the slip dob.. i never bothered adjusting it.. Al's bait were huge lively sawbellies, I used 1/4 egg sinker and the other rod i fished straight off the side ..i loosen the front drag and just count out.. i had no need to search the deep as they were pretty much hitting where i guesstimated..i was alone monday in the boat so had a hard time using my camera on the big one which i wanted to shove down back in the depths asp .. i like drifting off the main dropoffs between 60 and 154 ft where i was. pepac is hard to beat.. that ten lber jumped three times completely out of the water..sorry my pics aren't professional quality. the scenery came out okay.. it wasn't buggy it wasn't hot or chilly just perfect boatin weather. have to wait till after the 4th to get out there again! peace!

i got to the bk alittle too late, the dark thunder clouds opened up just as i was entering a fav pool with not another angler in site.. nothing was on the top..i waited under the 17 bridge for about an hr but by that time the claybanks and runoffs were chaulking the water..plus more rain and thunder was coming on so i decided to come home earlier today.

thanks for the invite backin, unfortunately time, lately, is something i haven't had much of.
I still to this day have never caught a trout, but it is something I definately want to get into eventually.
(so many fish, so little time) My wife doesn't drive, so it's tricky getting her to and from work and planning fishing trips at the same time.
My obsession with Carp this year has a lot to do with convenience, I live a block away from the hudson river and I can get to the spot I caught that 31 lber in about 5 minutes.
If I have time I would love to get into some trout though.

pike, you have a very unique sport fishery with trophy class carp and channel.. I can imagine the excitement persuing those tackle busters! gl maybe someday you'll get a chance to visit this neck of the woods ..otherwise up north in the dacks provides limitless opportunity.. yoh jk here are some shots but after this i'm not posting anymore on the web understandably. and this is the one that didn't get away [image][/image]
