a great trip to camp

headed up to camp on wednesday with intentions on catching a rattlesnake but with the weather decided to fish. caught alot of trout on thursday and friday at kettle creek. all caught on worms, was doing so good couldn't bring myself to switch to the fly rod.  Did end up catching a rattlesnake friday afternoon.  It was a black phase 36 inches with 7 rattles.  Wasn't quite big enough to keep but made for some nice pictures and alot of exitement.  Also missed a coyote thursday night and saw a bear saterday.  Also the most deer i have ever seen up there, they were right behind the camp and all over the dirt roads.

sounds awesome.  Can you post any pics of the snake or the bear?

Not sure why anyone would deliberately try to catch a rattlesnake, but cool pics just the same.

And attach the rattle to a smallmouth fly.

I'm not that hungry. And I can find safer flies!
