Little Clearfield June 7,2009

Made a trek to to Doc's Fabulous Fishing Lodge in Clearfield Pa. Upon my arrival I was treated to dinner.  After some scouting for potential fishing spots, we went back to the luxurious 5 star lodge. Some of the interior decorating seemed to clash, Iron Maiden Posters just didn't seem to fit with some of the flowery and heart laden wall paper. The owner indicated that changes were in the works for a more masculine decor.
After taking some verbal abuse over the penguin game, we called it a night. The next day we headed for the delayed harvest section on Little Clearfield.  Despite having to provide the guide with terminal tackle and lures, fishing was phenomenal. Doc landed several large fish and I caught many in only a short section of stream.  The guide supplied dinner after a day of fishing and I was on my way home. I strongly recommend Doc as a guide. So don't waste time or money with some other fly by night operations (upperman outdoors adventures comes to mind), go straight to the professional...

yeah... they're in there! It hardly ever gets fished to m y knowledge. Everytime I've been in there I've never seen another person or even a footprint.

Got one pic with the cell phone.  Al was supposed to bring his digital, but I think he was too busy worrying about leaving his glow-worm at home.

We are getting together a trip to another stream soon.  I will remember to take a cam this time.

Yeah DOC right.  I left my camera at doc's plus I only take pictures occasionally, my face book page is full, I have no where to put them except my hard drive. At least I knew better not to engage in wagering against the pens, you Pittsburgh hater. Doc conveniently left his camera at home and he made me drive my car in the middle of deliverance alley. I am lucky I didn't drop my undercarriage down there.I think the true reason why he didn't drive was so the locals would not associate his truck with him and his hating ways.
