Was up a couple of weeks ago. Caught 5 fish, all different species.. Bowfin, warmouth, northern, blue gill, and perch. Not too great, but it was nice to catch a variety. We were just targeting the edges of weed beds with minis and shiners.
Don't know what kind of boat you have, but use caution. Seems there's a 100ft 'no wake rule', but it's perfectly ok to go full throttle when you're 110' away from an anchored 14' jon boat.
My slingshot will go with me on my next trip I think.
Early morning would probably be the best time to avoid the traffic.
