First time paylakers
Me and a group of friends are gonna head down to Paradise Lakes next weekend for catfish. Never been to any paylakes before. Is it usually pretty crowded on weekends? Is there anything I should know about the paylake scene? Thanks for your answers.

I would say check out there rules. I know for carp some baits are not allowed so I would hate for you to take a hot bait of yours only to find its on there list. I will see if I can find a website for them or maybe you can just call them up.

Thanks, but I found the website and read all the rules. I was talking about any "unwritten rules" in regards to behavior, fishing equipment, etc.

I,m not a purist or elitist anything.I,m not against paylake catting because of the money involved.I just don,t like the fact that most of their large fish are netted from somebody elses public waters.

ORIGINAL: PATCAT50 I just don,t like the fact that most of their large fish are netted from somebody elses public waters. So what. The paylake operators pay to have to those large fish delivered and stocked. They offer a service to their customers who enjoy fishing the paylakes. It's business-----it's how the paylake owners make a living. The netters get paid, the paylake operators get paid, and the paylakers who catch the largest fish during the contests get paid----it's all good. That's why the fish exist----to rip 'em-----relocated or not. You got a problem with the carp they stock in the paylakes too?
