Teton Tioga
As some may know, I recently picked up a Tioga for my 3 wt. One of the features of the reel is an "adjustable stripping tension, independent of the main drag mechanism". It even comes with instructions on how to adjust it (minor screwdriver work req'd).
May question is this: how does it know when you're stripping as opposed to a fish taking line?
If anyone has one, I'd be interested to hear about your experience with it, if youve ever messed with it. Does it work? How is it supposed to work? I'd think I'd like a light stripping tension with a heavier drag, but before I mess with it I'd like to know if anyone else has done this.
