Nothing picture worthy

But I took pictures anyway. Hopefully they get bigger as the season progresses. Although I did see a bird (blue heron? maybe) nail a solid fish. I was jealous.

And away we go

16" 'eye

fat perch

skinny perch

12 2/3" smallie

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

    Sweet Dougie!!!

Looks like my ol' Stomping Grounds in Niskayuna, huh?  Sometimes I like to creep back in there near the powerplant along the native rock outcroppings where the BIG smallies hide!  I don't know what the real rules are regarding getting that close to the spillway- but everytime I am over there I see other boats doing it too.

"Blind leading the blind", I guess!!!  We'll have to take a shot at it in June when the Bronzebacks are all amped up and full of energy.  Makes it a little tougher now since you have to pay to lock-thru, but five bucks is worth it for me...  Especially since the Mohawk ramps are free...  Still saves a few bucks over Saratoga, I suppose!
