Texan

Here is what it is all about. My nephews son came up from Texas with my sister and wanted to catch fish. Ahhhh, the good old carp did the trick. Wish I had a pix of when the real fell off the rod with a big one on,lol.

    Great pictures! Love to see young kids catch'n fish.

    I remember fishing that same spot and catching walleyes after ice-out.

    He sure did. The spillway is a good place to take someone to catch the poormans stillhead.  Would be fun with some white yarn and cheese dip and a 7-8 wiegt fly rod.!

    We've been there ,but never tried to catch them.Steve used to catch them in the river near Oil City.Caught a few on a 5ft ultralight with 4lb test.That was fun.There is some fishing derby coming up soon for Carp & Catfish on Aug 17-19.For more info call The Oil Region Alliance 814-677-3152,ext.110

    I have caught a few here at Shenango river using a muddler minnow. I would watch them ster the mud and toss it at them. What fun! Poor mans steal!
