stinkin stripers

Man I've tried the last few days with no luck. I know its not the heart of the season yet, but the parks have the same guys in the same spots day after day and its only gonna get worse, and I am not one for combat fishing.
 
I am not giving up yet, still fun to catch bait on the fly, but with a spinning rod in my hand I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Gotta get away from the HH park even though its so close. Maybe I should stand down there with my fly rod to feel at ease.

I've heard of some pretty tough Biker Gangs...  But the Perchman runs with a pretty hard-core STRIPER GANG up there on that wall by the Poestenkill!!!
 
It's like the old Bleacher Bums at the stadium...  I try to stay just far enough off the mouth of the creek to stay beyond the range of AA batteries, partial cinder blocks or 3oz bank sinkers...
 
But just like every dive bar I see, I someday want to go check it out sometime...
 
Do guys fight over the old van seat on the corner or is their a heirarchy already in place?

I hung with Perch for a few minutes on the wall yesterday...........good to have connections!

Once the bluebacks get here things will get much BETTER!!! Nothing bitting just a few small ones!!
