Killed the Gillz

Killed em. The weather was cold and windy, waded in the water.... totally worth it.wound up with around 100. but only 78 made it to the stringer. (slippery little thing) came to 30 lbs. around 7 lbs of boneless, skinless fillets.

Great catch blitz! curious how do you cook em up here? in the south we like to fillet them when we can but the gills just scale and clean then dip them in cornmeal and season with tony's then deep fry till golden brown, lock the door take the phone off the hook close the blinds then eat, mmmmm mmmmm
tony chachere's creol seasoning, great stuff.

I fillet w/ an electric knife, skin them then cut out the ribs.
I usually either fry them with eggs and breadcrumbs or grill w/ maranade.
