clay banks

clay banks

a coworker of mine is heading to erie to do a little walleye fishing. he heard the area off the clay banks is a hot spot but does not know  where that is.any info on that spot would be a big help .thanks

    It is an area west of Walnut Creek. Look for a gray colored cliff then start to fish anywhere from 27 FOW to the trenches.

    Ha ha ha!  There are clay banks along much of the lake, they go on for miles!

    Twenty years ago when I started fishing the "clay banks" were the banks between walnut and trout.  But the one's that everyone refers to today are just east of Godfrey.  If you ever hear me refer to the clay banks I'm between walnut and trout...  Aw crap I shouldn't have said that.
