James river , Virginia

Does anyone have any info on this river launch areas??  and if u can launch a pa reg, boat in the state of virginia with no problems..  Would like to take a trip of a lifetime on this river one time for catfish any info would be great thanxs.

    best place to launch would be osborne landing .  I just fished a bass tournament there last week, a waitress showed me a pic of a cat she caught there the day before. it weighed 82 pounds.  as long as you have a valid registratiion and numbers you wont have any problems.  im told the best place for the big cats are in the area of the power plant just below osborne landing.

    best way to get there is take 295 off of 95 take exit 31b  that is exit to airport. take right on williamsburg rd. left on laburnam . follow laburnam until you come to stopsign.  take left on osborne rd.  landing is maybe 3 miles on right.

    Thanxs again and i did contact va, boat and fish and it is legal the lady on the phone said something about it is legal up to 60 days so i guess im safe.  I thought i had to get some special sticker or something .
