Helios vs. Eastfork

Looking to get a 3/4 for fishing trout in mainly smaller streams have it narrowed down to these 2 just having trouble deciding....any input or opinions would be appreciated...thanks

    well... one is almost double the $ of the other
     
    helios runs shorter and lighter line wt

    They are in the same ballpark $ range.
     
    My buddy just picked up an eastfork a couple of months ago.  Sweet reel IMO for under $200, Loomis seems to really be catching up with the competition in regards to their fly reels.  The are very smooth and have a very nice drag system.

    yeah I have heard a lot of good about the BBS however I dont beleive they are still made in england, not to sure though.  Might just go with that

    i have one for my 2wt... i like it
     
    if you are fishing small water with a small rod, the reel is just holding line

    I have the Loomis east  fork 7/8 3.7" spool diameter.  Bought it 2 years ago, gets a lot of hard use, very smooth with a good drag. I love it for erie steelhead. GREAT reel for around $185.  I would reccomend this reel, would be a good choice for inland trout in smaller sizes. Of course there are other reels for less money, say around $100 that are more than adaquate for inland trout, even steelhead.

    thanks guys found a deal on the helios that I couldn't pass up.  It also got an amazing review from hatch magazine so I went with it.
