It is nice to see that the fact that I released that honey of a fish is appreciated. It was tough, especially being that she was the biggest fish I ever caught, and only the third muskie I ever caught. The gentlemen I fish with are real fishermen they (love the catch--enjoy the release) are teaching me the ways of the muskies and other species that I haven't fished for much. Other than panfish and an accaisional waleye ( best tasting fish on the planet) we relase.

Just to let everyone know, Jerry vantassel of Timberland baits(who hosted this tourney) is trying to have another one day tourney in 2 weeks I believe on the 28 th. of Feb.  I am not positive on the date the times or the cost, but as of right now we are planning on fishing in it as long as the ice is still good, and by the looks of the forcast temps. so far, it should be okay.

For the facts: call Jerry V. at Timberland Bait's  (814) 694-fish(3474)

If you would like to fish in it give Jerry a call,as soon as possible, the more people who say they would like to do it the better chance of there being a tourney. The census on sunday was looking good a lot of guys and gals were saying they would fish in the tourney.

Thanks for your concern, the thumb is ok! didn't need any stitches but will have to pass on bowling league tuesday night. It's weird I have held hundreds of northern pike and never once did I get toothed--gilled a couple of times-- but never toothed. I credit the braindead move to the hysteria of the moment and the frozen hands. The funny thing is that I noticed the blood in the muskies mouth and thought wait a minute we didn't hurt this fish then noticed my thumb in it's mouth. If you've seen the picture in the Meadville Tribune Paper where I'm holding the fish look close my thumb is in the mouth.
