One dead as US authorities rescue more than 100 from ice floe

Be careful with the periodic warm ups. 145 found out the hard way on Lake Erie (Ohio shore in Ottawa county)....

    yeah man! I have always stressed the importance of ice safety. Those great lake region break away ice pack stories seem to be a growing concern .. I do not understand how so many would even risk ice along vast open water. Even if it isn't related to Global warming, we simple do not have fat and hollow hairs like the polar bears!

    Waiting for my ride to harriman park! going to be a warm slushy day! ice is over a foot thick and a chore even with 6 inch hand auger lazer ( about 30 turns) two holes and my heart is pumping! lol i'll be a wreck tonight! ..wish me luck,, we are going to try finding those prespawn crappies  in the back coves! later
