Bluegill Bonanza

Hit the lake up today. Set up in my crappie hole, but they haven't come in yet. Must be still in the deeper water and scattered. Managed 3 nice perch on the tip-ups (looks like the bigger ones are finally coming in) . Also caught a bunch of nuisance bass between 1-5 lbs on the tip-ups(sorry Brian). Did take a 5-6 lber on the jig rod. That was a riot.

Also while jigging, I limited out on gills. The bigger gills are also starting to come in now. Honestly, if I would have stayed there all day, I could have gotten 200 gills. Drop jig to bottom, reel up 2 feet, and boom. No need for a vex.

May bring just a few rods out tomorrow or Wednesday for a few hours before work.

hook, down here it's hit or miss..i've been having to sled a bit more searching and coming up short.. alot of drilling and it has been slow. Can't understand these park managers still have a few good lks. closed! I am still hopeful they will open them soon. Just hope no rain this tues. Heard alot of percipitation is coming either alot snow or alot a rain.
