Mat, Its up to you if you want to fish before and after.
We made it an all day fishing trip with a lunch break in between last year.
The pavillian is next to the launch (lakeside) off Westlake rd.(the camp grounds).
The water patrol parks their boats there. Do not tie up on their dock.

Gives a whole new meaning to worm dunking.lol

The crappie bite is starting and the walleye are in the river and around the stumps right now.
A friend caught 5 pike last week around some old xmas trees. The stripers are staging at the mouth of the rivers and in the bays.
Below the dam you can catch a slew of walleye and stripers, also the water had been fast so it gave a limited amount of fishing for the stockies.
Yesterday there were only 4 gates open but poor fishing with few fish caught.
 
By the time of the outing the crappie bite should be excellant! The bass fishing also should be doing well.
All in all, we are going to have some good fishing.
The walleye will be on the feed and below the dam should be great.

lol. We  won,t count the wee one.
 
Mat smoked me yesterday and caught some nice fish.
The water temp was 66 in the bays.

Well, the Oil Creek outing was a success, now lets have a good one here.
How many will be bringing thier boats?
Also Mat sugested having a small wager on the biggest crappie.

Bass will be out of season is why I said crappie.
But bring a camera and a tape and we,ll have a wager there too.

Likely going to have to bow out for the 23rd.   I'm fishing and travelling for 10 days will be a 5+ hour drive away in NY yet on the 22nd with no email access.   We may well be on the lake on the 23rd, but can't lock in given the travels, etc.   Have fun.   Gone fishing.

I'M OUT.... somone decided to schedule a darn baseball game @2:00.  Could make it later (like 5-6) but I know most of you would be long gone.  Well, we will have to try a Lake Erie get together...lol
