Keystone state park

Hey has anyone been out here of late.  Last year all we caught was buckets of pan fish and nothing else.  Have heard in the past that there is to be pike and bass in this lake but never seen any action.  Anyone know if this is true?

Any day with a rod in the water is better than a day at work

Yes there is lots of pike in there. A few years back a truck load of pike were dumped in here it was mistaken for Keystone Power dam. My brother used to do maintenace for the park and he witnessed that. Upset alot of people.

There was some pike in there before the mistake truck. I always did good on bass, but have not been there since rt.22 started getting torn up. The last trip took 2.5 hours because of construction. Without construction it was a 45 minute drive. When the project is complete I'll be back.

First off they are tiger muskies not Pike. Second the fish commission put them there on purpose to offer a variety of fishing species. They didn't put them there by accident !!  I'm sure the fish commission knows the difference between Keystone State Park and Keystone Power dam.  I read the article in PA Game & Fish years ago. They discontinued the stocking but a few stragglers remain.

Wow. Thank you so much. I have been so upset about this for the past 3 years that I haven't been able to bring myself to fish there until the matter was settled. You'll never know how much you've done here.

wow. someone's spiderman undies are in a twist today

"A Homewood man led police on an hourlong car chase that ended with a crash injuring three officers.

"The car was driving itself," Wright said. "The car has a GPS. It's a Lincoln Navigator. They drive themselves. I wasn't running nowhere."

I heard that if you drip sarcasm on a woolly bugger the bass will strike at it very passive-aggressively.

There are pike in the lake, I have caught them. I am not sure how plentiful they are though. I have never heard or seen any channel cats caught there though.

I've never caught a pike there and I have fished and ice fished there a lot. It is only a few miles from my house. The Fish Commission has never caught any in their biologist surveys either.

They just started stocking channel cats there this year.

They Fish Commission has stocked Saugeye there in the past as well. I have never caught one of them there nor has one come up in a PFC survey.

I was there saturday and caught two smaller lm bass in about three hours, both on a rubber worm. They were tight to the bank on the camping side.
