Loyalhanna Dam

Have been fishing at the dam off the wall 3 times in the last 2 weeks around sunset and haven't caught much except 2 suckers and a couple small cats.  Just wondering if anyone else has been fishing the area and if they have had any more luck.  Two and three summers ago fished the dam all the time and seemed to experience much more success.

Been fishing at the outflow in the creek couple times in the past few weeks did good on the bass, sauger, and panfish.  Went below the bridge coming up to the **** on Saturday and didn't catch anything at all.  I think the change in the weather is have an effect on all fishing right now may be the reason too.

Any day with a rod in the water is better than a day at work

I fish the dam at least four days a week,if your going for fun and fast action use chicken liver for small to medium cats, use cutbait or large chubs for the big cats.If your after eyes or sauger, again use 3to 4" chubs, but if you can get suckers in that same size you will have alot more action, ive been getting alot of sauger in the 17to 20" size off of suckers.By the way if anybody knows where i can get any let me know my stream is out of them. Now the do's and don'ts, fish early morning or late night, and don't use shinners or fatheads your wasteing your time, try nightcrawlers but if the bluegill start hitting put them away. Hope this helps you out and maybe we'll run into each other down at the dam.  Good Luck.....
