Rod building?

I was just wondering if anyone from erie builds rods, If so I am interested in building my own and I'm not sure how to get started I've checked other sites and I'm still lost. I guess what I'm trying to say is there anyone willing to show me the ropes? I understand that there is an art to it, I'm not asking for all your secrets just some good direction would hate to ruin a perfectly good blank. Thankyou for any help!!

Don't do it papinner.  You'll get sucked in just like the rest of us.  next thing you know, all your friends will have kick **** rods and you're left fishing with that 10yr old BPS rod, cause you're too busy to build your own.

I had to move to a different country to break the addiction! I still haven't kicked it though. I have a small stash of 'stuff' that is slowly being used.

    PaPinner,

Before you meet up with skip, have a read through this set of articles. They are a pretty good intro to rod building and simple to get an idea of what you're in for.

    Thanks,

Thanks, I'm ready for another addiction, I am already addicted to pinning so I'm ready for something to keep me busy during the winter if I cant get out on the ice or in the streams. I've been giving this a lot of thought for almost a year now I think that I'm ready just need a good teacher and good advice on what tools to buy.
