Bobber/Strike Indicator????

Ok, I know a lot of people use this bobber but I don't actually know what the name of it is.  I am trying to find it so I can order them in bulk but I need the name.  If any one knows what they are called please tell me.  Thanks.

We can obtain these through a special order.  Bulk bags contain 24 floats.  Price depends on size and color.  You can contact us at sales@fishusa.com or 800-922-1219.  Thanks.

I saw a bunch of those at gander mountain in West Mifflin yesterday.  Don't remember the name, but none of these ring a bell.  They had a nice selection, at least that have a selection on something for once.

I have used these things for fishing the lake to get distance,But...the line twist a lot...
So i took the big weight out and put a peice of solder in the hole and it works good....
But i would like to see them 1 size smaller than the standard 3/4" that are on all the bait store shelf..
I agree with early support the sponsor....

PS. I did see the smaller ones in new york when salmon fishing but not here..

These were the first float I started using when I initially got into steelheading.  Once I learned how to properly rig from the float down, I never saw the need for them other than fishing out in the lake to get more distance.  They certainly do get the job done though.

thingamabobbers work great, 3/4 inch  is just about right for antthing the size of elk ck. or smaller, all the PA. streams. If you loop them on your leader butt section as reccomended on the package you will find after fishing for a day or so that the butt section of the leader cuts through the plastic around the metal ring of the indicator.  You can cure this by tying a short piece of mono onto your butt section with a 4 turn overhand knot. Jam the knot up tight, leave enough tag  on end of knot closest to fly line to tie the indicator on. Tie the indicator on the tag with a 3 turn improved clinch knot, keeping the indicator as close as possible to the leader. When done right , indicator tag or dropper should be 1/2 inch or less long. This rigging system works great, the sliding overhand knot  is much easier to slide, position up or down on your leader than a looped on indicator.  Only draw back is its permanently on your leader. I've been fishing the Erie streams  since 1981 tried all kinds of indicators, the thingamabobber is by far the best one I've ever used. Try the 1/2" for low clear water, the 1" for big water , ex. Salmon River, NY  during high flows.

Yeah it is but takes about 5 min. to do once you are used to it. Works very well though. Totally eliminates cutting thru the indicator. If you indicator fish all the time, one indicator could possibly do you all fall.

Try using a P-line barrel swivel. Never have to worry about line twist, plus you will loose allot less fish. They sell those here on this site.
