Elk Creek Lodge?

Planning on coming up on the 20th for my first steelhead trip, and was looking for a place to stay. Anyone have any info on the Elk Creek Lodge?

Green Roof Inn is great!  Clean rooms and pull up to your door and walk in.  They are very fisherman friendly.

My wife said I golfed too much...so I started fishing.

better be ready to party and stay up late at the Elk Creek.......... it is like a group home, there are permenant residents there. 20 bucks is cheap, but I will stay elsewhere when I come back up. oh yeah and if the "innkeeper" offere to take you to posted land that he has exclusive access to, dont do it, get up early and go fishing do not wait on him to fish.

Only 3 in my Book - Green Roof Inn, Inn @ Presque Isle, and Avalon Inn.  Quality Inn is OK too.

I stayed a the elk creek lodge....Never again....Permanent residents there.  Smokey atmosphere.  Plumbing makes loud noises that wake you up at night, all night....Lighting is dim throughout, some bulbs out......Rooms are tiny, some have bathrooms in room, some don't.  I still say putting a set of moose antlers on a wall of a prior retirement home doesn't magically turn it into a lodge.

If you want clean, cheap and small.  Try the Ivyleaf in Edinboro.  If not, the Green Roof Is the place, if only because Crowleys' Resturant is really close.  But if you want to really induldge those old bones: Marriott Residence on Peach Street.   The spa tubs are Freeking Greeeeaaaatttt! after a long day fishing.  And you can stay for a night for what it would cost you for a week elsewhere.
