Pymy Bass?

Anyone catching any largemouth or smallies up pymy? Any particular spots? I heard the bite has been excellent up there lately.

I caught some smallmouths up there last Friday.  Nothing huge in size but they fought nice.  They were caught in about 8' of water on minnows, in the Southern end of the lake a little towards the dam from stocker island.

Have always done very well on Largemouth there.  Just find some of your standard bass cover and wing a spinnerbait at it.  Chartreuse and white always produced well.  I think the north end has better bass cover by and large.

I have never fished the south end of Pymy. Had a trailer and boat at Linesville and sacrificed MANY lures and anchors to the lake.  Even a new rod and reel sacrificed by my son and never found.

jer, the south end is an excellent smallmouth fishery.  we wade the rocky points on the ohio side throwing small rapalas.  fish up to 3#s once in awhile, more often smaller, but numbers make up for size.  we always did best in late summer and early fall.  once caught 3 fish on 3 consecutive casts, all over 16".
