Mustad

I Pm'd a rep on another board w/ a specific prob I was having w/ a batch of hooks---he went ABOVE and BEYOND to rectify the problem.I've used Mustad for most of my fishing---Now I'll use them for ALL of it.

Steel on a pin---so easy a caveman can do it.

Have never had dealings with the hook doc but I must say I have used mustads since the 70s for steel and salmon with little problem. Never saw the point of spending more. They chemicaly sharpen the point (read as use solvents that our EPA frowns on) while I carry a hone.

Gotta have a hone. I have some Mustad SS hooks for Salty flies I tie for a dude. They're nice.
Can't beat that service. They are family owned as far as I know.

Good hooks at a good price.
I tie most if not all my steelhead flies with them. I usually never have a problem with them only with the leader.
