Got a gobbler at 12:30 today.  Watch a bunch of gobblers for about 2 1/2 hours while I was bow hunting.  Went home and got the gun and killed a 17.5 lb 8 inch beard gobbler.  Good luck to everyone else.

    Got a nice hen @ 8:30.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

I have never seen so many turkeys in all my life. I will have one before the season.

food for thought     try this some time.  Skin the bird while its still fresh; cut into large sections; put into a cooking bag after smearing Cream of Mushroom Soup over the pieces and add another can to the bag with salt and pepper. Put the whole thing into a roasting pan to hold it and bake at 350. Yum Yum!!!!!

Funny you ask that, just took my first turkey on saturday while archery hunting in 2B.  Nice 17lb gobbler with an 8 inch beard.  I didn't have a call or anything and watched them slowly eat their way towards me from across a big overgrown field.  I was just lucky enough that they picked the wrong spot to creep back into the woods 30 yard shot, dropped right away! Shot the bird at about 11am he was with 3 other nice gobblers.  Pictures are on my dad's camera I'll have him email me them and try to post one.
