Woolly buggers are always a good producer for me.  Just about any color in sizes 8-12 will work.
 
Generic nymphs produce well at times also.  Pheasant tails, copper johns, hares ears, prince nymphs, and stonefly patterns all work well.  I have had plenty of days where a PT or CJ outfished a suckerspawn by quite a bit. 
 
If there aren't so many fish that I will be snagging them like crazy I like to fish 2 flies.  I usually put a nymph above an egg patern in that situation.

Yes.
 
Basically any nymph pattern you'd use for trout will work for these trout too, it's presentation that is more important than pattern for me. 

Zonkers and Buggers, I like to go bigger than most guys, size 4 4X long

thanks guys i never used nymphs i always just used sucker spawn and last year the was a guy killing them and he was using nymths

Only caught one fish so far on a nymph (it was a regular trout), but I too was surprised.  I thought it was cool that they can find something so small, let alone want to eat it.

zonkers and clousers always work good for me.
